10/21/19 Everything You Need To Know About PTSD and TBI

Family support and a collaborative approach to identifying and treating Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)-sometimes referred to as Post Traumatic Stress Injury- and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) are crucial for both physical and mental health. The Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee of Manalapan (MVAAC) and speaker, Vietnam Veteran Charles Wuth, MSW, LCSW, will offer general information about PTSD and TBI for veterans and families, including causes and symptoms, the best scientific research, overcoming stigma and shame, and getting the treatment needed. After the presentation, there will be an opportunity to meet and speak informally with veterans’ support organizations.

This program is co-sponsored with Manalapan Township and the MVAAC who have created the Center for Veterans at Manalapan to help veterans-from any era-and their families readjust to civilian life and deal with any lingering issues from their deployment.
